Phola is an Associate in the firm, working in both the Corporate Advisory & Commercial Department and the Intellectual Property Department. He is an advocate of the High Court for Zambia. Phola has been part of various high-value transactions, advising clients on the registration of companies, trusts, and other business entities. He has also been involved in the registration of trademarks and industrial designs.
Phola has gained a wealth of experience in navigating complex legal matters and finding client-focused solutions. He also has extensive experience in advising corporations and banks on a broad spectrum of commercial issues, including beneficial ownership requirements, surrender and forfeiture of shares, share and asset transfer agreements, and conducting corporate due diligence for local and international corporations. Phola has also previously advised on regulatory compliance in the banking sector.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Zambia. Additionally, Phola has a certificate in Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and a certificate in Capital Markets and Securities Law. He also serves on various committees of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ).
